The history of the country, and its material and spiritual works, are our ancestors' precious wealth and heritage. It is obvious that studying, researching and better understanding of historical issues increases experiences and better understanding of the future progress of the society. The future can be considered better by studying the past. Those who have learned from history are less likely to make mistakes. Recognizing and expressing the national historical identity, scholarly knowledge of the distant and recent past, and documented understanding of important historical events, their causes and results, or their effects, is a definite necessity for the people of every country and every nation.
However, for more than thirty years, certain efforts have been made to cast doubt on the historical identity of the Afghan people and government, under the misleading title of "revision of the country's history". In the series of brutal activities in this regard, the works of famous historians of the country such as Faiz Mohammad Kateb Hazara, Prof Abdul Hai Habibi, Ahmad Ali Kohzad, Mir Gholam Mohammad Ghobar, Mohammad Sediq Farhang and others were attacked by labelling them "court and government historians". Their scientific and historical importance should be questioned. Fortunately, responsible, knowledgeable and patriotic scientists and researchers of the country have been able to counter and neutralize these hostile anti-national efforts, which are based on distorted statements and falsification of history based on the narrative of biased foreigners.
At the same time, scientific advances and new and enlightening achievements in human sciences, including archaeology, human cytology (genetics), population and migration sciences, linguistics, ethnography, political economy, human geography, etc., have caused our historians and scientists to Express the documented history near and far of the country will provide new facilities that were not available to our historians in the past. Unfortunately, the events of the last 40 years in the country created a great void in the studies of history and human sciences. On the other hand, now there are much richer sources and sources of looking back, which should be clarified and more research should be done. On this note, several researchers and writers jointly decided to establish an institution under the name (Afghan Historical Society) to express the documented and scholarly history and differences of the country's historical national identity.
