Dr. Zaman Stanizi is Professor of Mystical Studies, Sufism, and Theology at Pacifica College of Higher Education in Santa Barbara, California, as well as Professor of Political Science at California State University. In addition to his teaching experience at Kabul University, Professor Stanizi has taught at several universities in the United States in various disciplines, including linguistics, English, history, and political science. Zaman Stanizi also holds a Fulbright Scholar distinction. Zaman Stanizi holds a doctorate and master's degree in political science and international relations from the University of Southern California and a master's degree in theoretical linguistics from the University of Washington. He completed his postdoctoral studies in mysticism and Sufism and wrote treatises on the thoughts of Ibn Arabi and Rumi.
